Ah, I just signed up with a test account and it looks like it’s just a separate sign up (a formality, really) to allow access to the API. Pretty weird process. I know she has an affiliate account, so even though your FAQ says to sign up for the affiliate program, that does not automatically allow API access I suppose. I’ve had an affiliate account for years and it asked me to join the API, so obviously my affiliate account wasn’t set up for that either. Might be something to add to the FAQ.
Is there a way to capture this error for the setup page in the future? “Error: You must enable the Amazon Affiliates API too” etc
